Our EV Charging Installation Process
Site assessment
We review your existing electrical infrastructure, available capacity, switchboard condition, and cabling routes to design the most cost-effective installation. Where supply upgrades are needed, we manage this with your DNSP.
System Design
We specify charger models, load management controllers, cabling, protection equipment, and — where applicable — solar and battery integration. You receive a clear quote with all costs itemised before any work commences.
System Installation
All EV charging installations are carried out by licensed electricians to AS/NZS 3000 and relevant EV charging standards. We provide all required certificates of compliance and warranty documentation on completion.
Monitoring and Operation
We will ensure your system is monitored and always performing at its optimum.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can i install a charger if i have a small power supply?
Yes, but it may be limited at certain times of the day. Utilising Load Management, we can actively monitor an EV charger based on how much power your site is using. When you have spare power, the EV charger will operate and turn off when the site is near its limits.
Do I need a three-phase supply for EV charging?
Not necessarily. A standard single-phase 7kW charger is sufficient for most residential applications, providing a full charge overnight. Three-phase is recommended for faster charging (22kW) or multiple simultaneous chargers.
Can I claim a tax deduction for a commercial EV charger?
Commercial EV charging infrastructure may be eligible for depreciation under the instant asset write-off provisions or other tax treatments. We recommend consulting your accountant — we can provide all documentation required to support your claim.
